The Flowan Sentinel Agent is a service that runs on each of the monitored servers. It doesn’t have any user interface and installation is as simple as copying a few files and installing a service. The Flowan Sentinel Agent has a small footprint and is very efficient. Hence, it consumes almost no disk space and uses very little processor time.

Flowan Sentinel Agents are configured and controlled through the Flowan Sentinel Hub. Using the Flowan Sentinel Hub, you can manage the following Agent settings:

How often Agents communicate with the Hub
How often disk drives are checked for low disk space
How often event logs are checked
How often memory is checked and reported
How often software inventory is collected

In addition to setting the Agent monitoring and data collecting tasks, you are able to define which event logs are monitored and whether help desk cases are created from both warnings and errors or just errors.
