The Help Desk bulletin board is the starting page for all help desk users. It provides you with the ability to communicate messages, current status and help desk hours of operation. The bulletin board is divided into two areas: Bulletin Board and Hours of Operation.

Latest News and Information

Post “alert” or “informational” type messages, including file attachments, that you want the help desk community to read. Alert messages are indicated by a “push-pin” icon with a red exclamation. Information messages are indicated by a “push-pin” icon without a red exclamation. You can post messages for all customers or a specific set of customers at a given location.
 
Current Status

Display the status of common items that are typically available. Setting up a status item is simply a matter of defining the status area description (i.e. warehouse shipping, a specific software application, etc.) and indicating the current status. The current status is graphically displayed with either a green (operating), yellow (some problems) or red (unavailable) icon.
 
Hours of Operation
 
A calendar showing the hours of operation and work days for the help desk. Your customer can check the hours of operation calendar to determine when representative are available to work on their case. You are able to define the help desk hours for holidays and weekends as well as the normal working day. Your hours of operation are used by the Flowan Help Desk software in calculating your customer service level times for reporting.
